Foreign Patent Prosecution

 

We are looking for an IP specialist with foreign/international prosecution experience to join a firm and work with their IP Practice team. We prefer candidates in Seattle, San Diego, Palo Alto, or the Denver area.  The position will support the group with foreign filings as well as review and management of the filings to ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness.  This oversight/review role is a major component of the position and requires candidates to have the experience and confidence needed to review and correct foreign patent work from all staff.  The firm offers a competitive salary ($80 – $124K DOE for this position, and please note that final offer amount will be dependent on location, experience and skillset of the candidate) and a complete benefits package.  The firm also provides a comprehensive orientation process.  The position can be an evening position, or at least work later hours (starting later/working later).  The position has the flexibility to come into the office on a voluntary basis;  it is expected that employees come in on occasion for team gatherings, special projects, or local office events.

REQUIREMENTS:  Candidates are required to have a minimum of 3 years’ current experience in an IP role with experience in full cycle foreign/international patent prosecution filings.  Attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and excellent customer service skills are all needed in this position.  Experience and confidence in reviewing other’s work to ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness is required.  Proficiency with Inprotech, IPDAS and iManage is a plus.  Candidates should have experience with billing time.   Please note that candidates living in Seattle, San Diego, Palo Alto, and Denver area will be considered as preferred due to their location.
