Mid-size Seattle law firm with a busy litigation practice is seeking a litigation legal assistant to support shareholder attorneys. This position will work very closely with these attorneys on their practice involving insurance coverage and defense issues. Your legal expertise in litigation will be crucial as you take the lead in scheduling, docketing and file management. REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of 1-2 years current litigation legal secretarial experience is required (candidates with more experience are preferred), with strong knowledge (rules and ECF filing procedures) of local (Washington and/or Oregon) and federal court rules REQUIRED. Candidates should have excellent organizational abilities along with strong proofreading, grammar, spelling/editing skills. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of all the basic MS Office programs is required. Proven ability to exercise excellent judgment, understand priorities and communicate effectively are all important skills for success in this position.
