Word Processor (Legal/Technical)
We are currently searching for a qualified technical word processor to join a downtown law firm for a permanent position. Your expertise in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe will qualify you for consideration, along with your excellent attention to detail along with proofreading/editing/redlining and complex document production skills. Additional software used will include ChemDraw, OCR software, ClaimMaster and other transcription and dictation programs. Your projects will be varied and include the creation of documents, scanning, making edits, formatting, building chemical structures using ChemDraw, building equations using Equation Editor, create flowcharts and conversions. The firm provides a competitive salary, stable management and frequent training to maintain a high level of proficiency with various technologies.
REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years current experience as a technical legal word processor. Advanced skills in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat) are required. The position also requires candidates be able to work quickly, efficiently and accurately under pressure while maintaining a high level of customer support and service at all times. Attention to detail, proven editing and proofreading skills and excellent grammar, vocabulary and spelling skills are all crucial to success in the position. The qualified candidate will be able to work independently with little supervision.
